A small contribution for a big change



With £24 a month, you can change a child’s life.

Your monthly donation will have a big impact.
According to the needs of your sponsored child, Children of the Mekong will pay for:
- School fees, uniforms, books and stationeries
- Rice for a month for the family
- Hygienic products such as soap and tooth brush
- Pocket money for your sponsored child


A portion of your donation will go to a solidarity fund for the benefit of the local communities in case of natural disaster.

You and your sponsored child

You will develop a personal relationship between you and your sponsored child.
You can send them letters and post cards, and they will also write two to three letters to you per year that will enable you to discover things about their daily life. Where the infrastructure permits it, you will receive copies of their school reports.

You can keep up with the development of your sponsored child and get to know them better!

Sponsorship Programmes

Sponsorship programmes are coordinated by the local manager, appointed by Children of the Mekong. The local manager knows your sponsored child very well, as they live in the same community. Our overseas volunteers regularly visit them to check on the progress of operations.

Children of the Mekong sponsors 82 children and "Enfants du Mekong" 22,000 children accross Burma, Cambodia, China (Yunnan), Laos, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.

We like to go where nobody else goes to help the poorest children and their communities, and carry out programmes in remote areas, slums and with ethnic minorities.
