In Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam, we help children grow through child sponsorship and education projects since 1958.
Our priorities of action are ethnic minorities, rural populations, education for girls, disability, slums, refugees and early childhood.
Children of the Mekong in Singapore
The Singapore Chapter plays a vital role in supporting the organization’s mission to improve access to education for underprivileged children across Southeast Asia. As part of the global Children of the Mekong network, the delegation engages the Singaporean community, corporates, and individuals to raise awareness and funds for educational programs.
Our key projects include organizing sports events, charity drives in the region, and hosting sponsorship evenings where participants can learn more about sponsoring a child. These events, along with many others, provide an opportunity to make a direct impact on the lives of children in countries like Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Philippines and Myanmar.

Sponsor a child in Southeast Asia
Child sponsorship is at the heart of our action. You can choose to sponsor a child for SG$50 / month, and make a real difference in their life, by offering them the gift of education.
Your monthly donation will pay for the expenses related to school, so that your sponsored child can continue their schooling.
You will receive 2 to 3 letters from your sponsored child every year, as well as a yearly newsletter about the sponsorship programme they belong to. We encourage you to write letters to, as your letters will provide moral support to your sponsored child.
How to start sponsoring a child?
From Singapore, you can fill in the form on Give.Asia to start sponsoring a child. Children of the Mekong has partnered with Give.Asia, so Singaporeans can sponsor a child in Singapore Dollars. Child sponsorship costs SG$50 per month.
Please note that we can’t provide a tax receipt for your donation.
