New equipment to support children
Continued training for our teachers is essential, therefore IT teacher, Mr Moth Meth, was provided with an opportunity to be trained in the maintenance and repair of IT equipment at centres in Cambodia in November 2024. Equipment maintenance is a crucial part of our work and many centres like the ones in Banteay Chmar, Preah Vihear, Samrong, Sisophon and Phnom Penh need our help to renew their existing IT equipment (computers, UPS, batteries, mice, etc.).

The Proposed Solution
The project aims to upgrade the IT equipment at Children of the Mekong centres in Cambodia by replacing obsolete or out-of-service computers with more powerful hardware that is better suited to the needs of students and teaching staff. This upgrade will improve digital learning, facilitate administrative management and guarantee access to IT tools that are essential for education and training.
Project Highlights
Improved learning conditions: pupils will have access to functional computers for their research, schoolwork and training.
Support for teaching teams: teachers will have reliable equipment to prepare their lessons and support their pupils.
Resource optimisation: an audit of existing equipment will enable the recovery and reconditioning of equipment that is still usable.
Reducing the digital divide: this project ensures access to essential technologies in areas where computer equipment is often limited.
The beneficiaries
This project concerns pupils at the Children of the Mekong centres in Sisophon, Banteay Chmar, Samrong, Preah Vihear and Phnom Penh. They will be provided with appropriate tools for learning and accessing the Internet. Teaching and administrative staff will have high-performance equipment, enabling them to improve pupil management and monitoring.
